Xpro send condolances to family and former team-mates of Millwall's longest ever serving player
Xpro Chief Executive Geoff Scott today expressed his sadness at news of the death of Barry Kitchener who lost a short battle with cancer on Friday. He was 64.
Kitchener, a former Lions' defender, made an incredible 602 appearances for Millwall over 15 years having joined the club as a 16-year-old.
Apart from a short loan spell in the United States with the Tampa Bay Rowdies, Kitchener was only ever a one-man club and tributes poured in for him today from former team-mates and those who followed in his footsteps including Tim Cahill, now with Everton.
Scott said: "Barry was a model professional and a one-man club which is rare in professional football. On behalf of Xpro I would like to send our condolences to his family and former team-mates at this sad time."
